Will mechanics that one worked on combustible engine cars learn about electric cars and then get certified to work on those? Because they are vastly different kinds of vehicles.
Hybrids are not that all different when it comes to the engine part of the equation. Yes special training will be neede so you don’t die working on the as they are high voltage vehicles, but most of the high voltage euipment is clearly marked and they use color coded sheathing to identify those cables that are high current. If you are that concerned you should start to take courses now to keep up with recent changes in vehicle. I have already taken some courses on hybrids to familarize myself with the different typs of systems they run and to safely "shut down" the electric part while servicing certain areas of those vehicles

well i just brought a duracell mini charrger and the batteries are still charging and i brought the charger for about £14 and i was just wondering if its good enough for my xbox 360 controller ?
I’ve been using Duracell rechargeable batteries for my controllers since I got my 360. I’ve had no problems with them at all.

How many of you have ever tried using alkaline forming foods to solve health problems?
alkalis are better for indigestion and things like that because they neutralise the hydrochloric acid in your stomach! ^_^

Will I have to time it myself and take the batteries out according to time, or can I relax?
When the batteries are fully charged they don’t take any more energy.

I use rechargeable batteries a lot, but they run out fast. I want to use solar power to recharge my batteries.
Is there a certain product I can hook up to any rechargeable battery? What is it called?
Thank you in advance.
has some what? Where’s the name of the product?
It would be called a "Solar Battery Charger".
You also see them on LED Solar Powered Landscape Lights. The LED lights are powered by a rechargable AA battery, and the light power will eventually completely discharge by the end of night.
The small solar panel (on top) will again re-charge the rechargable batteries during the day, and when the sun goes down, the LED lights come on once again. This cycle repeats daily.
Some info on Solar Battery Chargers, as well as places to buy them, are listed below:

I just got some Rechargeable batteries today and they are currently charging.
They are:
Rayovac Rechargeable.
NM715-4OP
AA 1.2V
After a year they still work but don’t hold a charge as long. It depends on how often they’re used and recharged.

I am going to be shipping someone a solar panel. With this is a deep cycle battery. It’s a lead-acid battery that looks like a car battery. Would there be any restrictions for shipping this via DHL or similar?
A rep from Interstate batteries once told me the only way they can ship me a battery is if the battery is not yet activated. She said UPS would not ship an activated battery I assume DHL is the same.
I’m pretty sure any battery from a store will already be activated. I don’t believe you can buy un-activated batteries at normal stores, it would have to come with a seperate bottle of concentrated acid, and I just don’t think WalMart or Pep Boys would carry the liability.

My car’s battery went dead last month. But since I don’t use it, do I need to jump start it immediately?
no, but it is a good idea to start a car that is sitting once a week to avoid fluids breaking down, hoses failing, etc.

I charge my computer and the BATTERY indicator at the bottom of the screen says there is 6 hrs of power on it, but it always goes dead after about 4 or so?
Is it because I am using the internet?
Would it maybe last longer if I just did word processing or something and nothing else or what?
Forget what it says. If you are getting 4 hrs of runtime on a laptop, you are very lucky! Most laptops are lucky to get 3 and the average is 2.5.

I am looking for a evening or weekend class to teach me the basics of auto maintenance and repair, but I haven’t had much luck searching on the web. It should be in or near Boston, and preferably accessible by public transit. Thanks!
check with a tech school or a community college some dealers offer minor courses Good luck
